Surviving Chemo and Radiation. Now how do I fix myself?

“What is the VERY Least I Can Suggest to a Loved-one After Surviving Chemo?”

Clients will often ask “what can I do for my Mom or partner who is dead-set on following the ONLY options provided by their doctor and now are suffering the consequences of harsh side-effects”. Chemo, surgery and radiation are still the only methods to ‘combat’ cancers. These methods have serious and debilitating side-effects that come with that type of “choice” that we have assumed to be the only possibility. Because I’m used to not guessing, but looking thru my microscope for answers, including to see what’s a clear physical reality, I never really say / give / pass along too much advice about someone else’s state of health and how to help others out – just isn’t right to do so...

Overcoming Chemo and Radiation

BUT...
But it’s now becoming epidemic – not one LBA session goes by without that question of ‘what to do’ on behalf of a loved one... So here are some basic inexpensive essentials that I think will not interfere with any other therapies - conventional or pharmaceutical or alternative. (Although the fiction I have heard as to why people getting conventional pharmaceutical cancer treatments should stay away from nutrients should be documented and sold to a Hollywood comedy hour!)... You would not believe the science fiction!

The logic generally used is simple enough – kill the cancer cells. In the process, though, the chemos and radiation also kill the healthy cells. These perish at different rates and even after the treatment stops. Basically ALL cells are put on death row, until either the chemo-regimen that is followed is completed or until there are no more white cells apparent in the frequent blood tests (i.e. the bone marrow has been over-the-top compromised) and the treatment has to be curtailed / aborted.

Hopefully the culprit cancer cells are all executed in a timely fashion... That’s the optimum plan.
But many innocent, good, necessary cells also die right along and in great numbers – collateral damage.
So, the goal should be to get as many of the good cells off death row and back into the crappy general prison population environment as soon as chemo is stopped – sounds dire but that would actually be a step forward. Everything should be done to allow the mitochondria in the many trillions of ‘surviving’ cells (the rest of the body) and basic necessary cell components and organelles to recoup and come back to life in this precarious setting.

There are man-nnnnnny things one can do ...
Here below are merely the three minimal basics that apply:
* Vitamin C – lots – not junk made from cornstarch (most). Try Thorne’s’ Vitamin C with bioflavinoids or CamuCamu capsules – spread out over the day – with meals – separate from meals – just go for it. A toxic person (certainly someone who has survived chemo) can take a lot of grams of Vitamin C per day before bowel tolerance is reached.
* Lots of B3 – very inexpensive – IMPORTANT to start with small amounts at the end of each meal and work up to more till you get a flushing feeling. No skimping - It’s all explained at http://www.pacificholistic.com/B3 (not just about mental health)
* melatonin – lots of it – enough research shows it’s a miracle supplement – that’s why we don’t hear about it too much. Use a top quality brand and use often – many mgs. per day at bedtime – not 3mg or 7mg but double digit mg amounts – try 15mgs for a small person or 25 mgs for a large 200lb person per day, for example. And I’m sure that a sleepless person doesn’t mind the odd weird dream – small price to pay... The melatonin helps to bring the cell’s inner workings back to life as well.
* drink a lot of water – See Dr Jeremy’s video just below here.

So that’s what I would do if it were my body...

Now when the cells are safely back in the general prison population, and the threat of succumbing to the treatment lets up, then there’s no time to loose – you have gotten your get-out-of-jail-card! DETOXIFY, re-oxygenate, re-mineralize – not just a health nut preaching here, because, I’m definitely not a health nut.

A chemo-ed body is insanely malnourished due to insufficient cells being able to pick up nutrients in the colon/intestine; insufficient proper blood supply circulating (Red Blood Cells that have had the proper positive cell charge on the outside and negative on the inside totally messed up or reversed (serious ridiculous massive clumping – and are ineffectual indeed)}. So that’s the tip of the iceberg.

Toxins are taking up the place of nutrients and get in the way of necessary yet delicate functions and reactions being carried out. Toxins need to be booted out – such as – for example - from some of the cis-platnin chemo molecules taking the places of the major minerals (which have many functions and also are need to be just right to create the right cellular charges). Then there are the displaced trace minerals that serve a very IMPORTANT function in the normal working of cells – they have to be re-introduced – as they affect everything even too - even mental health / moods / etc... and on it goes. So call/email me if you’d like more thoughts on detoxing gently and properly.

Those 4 simple items above – water, niacin, Vitamin C and melatonin are even less than mere basics – it’s an Herculean job when the chemo is finished to come back to reasonable health – in spite of people going home with the pronouncement that it’s all finished and handled... Surviving by the skin of your teeth and average health are miles apart, of course.

Do your loved ones a huge favour and give them a ton of support till they can step up to the plate themselves for proper care / nutritional therapy / detoxifying / etc.

Enough from Debbie Downer here...

I thought I’d give live blood cell analysis one more try with Pacific Holistic... I had this process done once before and was in awe of seeing my blood magnified onto a monitor. I was less impressed by the practitioner, whose nutritional education was lacking but not his resolve to take me and my long list of required supplements to a nearby health store and then to find out that this practitioner was actually an employee of the store, as well! Ms. Bakker makes suggestions for subtle lifestyle changes, new food choices and learning more, first. This isn’t earth shattering but tailored uniquely to me and then there’s a list with priorities and suggestions as to supplements and which brands and possible stores in the Lower Mainland that carry these brands – and I’m free to proceed as I wish. Her report and summary are thorough and honest and good to refer back to.
